I really like that shot of the CH-53
If you meant the upper right hand corner, You are almost right. It is an H-53, you just got the variant wrong. It is an MH-53E(Mine Countermeasueres) versus a CH-53 (Cargo) but close enough. The differences are trivial and most wouldn’t be able to tell.
Were those your ships?
Although I didn’t take all the pictures, yes those are “my” ships and “my” aircraft. Actually, there are a few more ships that I couldn’t fit in but some of them were the same class of ships as those already depicted so I didn’t think it would hurt to leave them out.
I had a very varied career, I went to different communities every time I transferred. Many sailors get tied into a platform (F-18, E-2, H-60 etc) and never work with anything else their whole career. I was fortunate enough to switch around a lot. My 21 years never got boring.
