Another good night for gun owners!

Tonight in the Militia, Police and Public Safety subcommittee #1:

HB 709, Delegate Janis’ bill to update the firearms purchase form to match the new mental health laws, was improved in subcommittee and passed out.

HB 734, Delegate Caputo’s bill to ban guns in public libraries, DIED as no one would make any kind of motion on the bill.

HB 746, Delegate Caputo’s bill to ban guns at child day centers, DIED as no one would make any kind of motion on the bill.

HB 835, Delegate Morans bill to make it so someone who is found innocent for reason of insanity loses their gun rights, was referred to the House Courts of Justice committee.

Tomorrow (Friday, Feb 1st) at 9 AM:

House Militia, Police and Public Safety full committee to vote on:

HB 982, Delegate Nutter’s bill to prevent the release of CHP information by the State Police

HB 709, Delegate Janis’ bill to update the firearms purchase form to match the new mental health laws

Tomorrow (Friday, Feb 1st) 1/2 hour after adjournment of the House:

House Courts of Justice full committee to vote on:

HB 436, Delegate Jackson Miller’s bill to allow police to arrest someone for a class 1 or class 2 misdemeanor AT WILL.

HB 710, Delegate Janis’ “castle doctrine” bill
