Police say Johnsonbaugh was firing shots at cans that were propped up on a tire in the yard of his brother’s residence on Indian Trail Road just after 7 p.m. One of the bullets passed through a wall of the home and struck his brother, 26-year-old Darren Johnsonbaugh, in the back.
And, of course, the second comment to the post is the inevitable Saltatus Cruoris:
We need to close the gun show loophole in Virginia. Anyone can simply walk into a gun show and purchase a firearm with no background check whatsoever.
Anyway, a reminder:
1. Always treat firearms as if they were loaded.
2. Never allow the muzzle to cover anything you’re not willing to destroy.
3. Keep you finger off the trigger until the sights are on target and you’re ready to fire.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
