What we woke up to this morning

No, it’s not fog.

It’s smoke.

A wildfire that broke out a week ago has now overtaken 2,400 acres in the Great Dismal Swamp.

The blaze is about 24 percent contained…

The wind must have shifted because it’s beginning to clear out and the smoke smell in the house is not as thick, though there’s still a hint of it outside.

The good thing is that we’re supposed to get some thunderstorms over the next couple of days that may help them get it under control.
