I’ve seen a Brady Campaign list of questions for Vice Presidential Candidate Palin going around the net today. I serously doubt that Ms. Palin will find it necessary to address the concerns of an astroturf group as irrelevant to national politics as the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership, so I’m going to take the liberty of addressing the questions they ask:
One thing I didn’t mention in the post but that struck me immediately:
Most Americans, including President Bush, support banning military-style semiautomatic assault weapons.
Isn’t that interesting? Gun banners regularly excoriate President Bush for “letting the assault weapons ban die” or flat out falsely accuse him of killing it.
But when it’s convenient for the point they’re trying to make, all the sudden President Bush is an ardent supporter of the ban.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Brady.
