Paypal and the Geek

I’m with The Geek on this one:

See ya, paypal, and I hope the door slams you in the ass hard & repeatedly on the way out.

Why, you ask me?

Because of This:

And not only did the contributions for the raffle stop coming in, ALL contributions to Soldier’s Angels via PayPal were cut off for twelve hours.

Because PayPal is anti-gun.

I’ve still got a Paypal donation button in the sidebar…please don’t use it. I’ll be getting rid of it as soon as I have a few minutes.

I know I’ll probably be losing out on donations, but sometimes principles demand sacrifice. I’ll re-do the CD/DVD donation request with revised instructions on how to send me a donation…probably involving the US Postal Service.

I’m done with Paypal, they can Kiss My Grits.

[Update]: Done. The donation buttons are gone. [/Update]

We need to get on GearPay and encourage them to get their system up and running so we who actually believe in ALL of our rights…not just the ones considered politically correct…have an alternative.

  1. I'm in agreement with you, Sailorcurt. I'm done with both Paypal and Ebay, since they're essentially the same organism. I didn't do much business with either, but it's gonna be none now.

  2. Hadn't used it for a long time because of their idiocy, but this tore it; closed the account yesterday.

Wonder if they're getting a lot of those with "Because you screwed over Soldier's Angels" in the comment?

  3. We've managed to bypass PayPal! Another sponsor of the Rendezvous, LuckyGunner.com, an ammo site, is doing the on-line ticket sales for us with all proceeds (minus the 3% credit card fee) going to Soldiers' Angels. Soldiers' Angels is still taking phone orders for those who don't want to purchase on-line. Details here.

    And thanks again for linking!
