Just to add flavor to the story about Portsmouth declaring the Poker Halls to which they’d turned a blind eye up to now verboten, the Portsmouth Police doesn’t seem too eager to see them go:
A day after the city’s top prosecutor declared he will press cases against the poker halls that have been springing up here, some of the places were opening as usual – with police working security.
That pretty much fits with my comment to the last post. My experiences with the Portsmouth Police have been that they are far more concerned with real crime than with things like people playing poker tournaments.
