Regarding the recent murders in Wisconsin:
The suspect, described as heavily tattooed, wore a white t-shirt and black military BDU pants. He also had ammunition pouches.
Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t know of any military units that wear black pants. Even if there is one or two specialized units that wear black, the type of “Battle Dress Uniform” (BDU) generally associated with military units is some pattern of camouflage.
But who DOES wear plain black, military style trousers?
Police SWAT teams.
I don’t know if the authors of the piece were trying to draw some sort of weak “guilty by association” kind of comparison, but if they were, they were pointing fingers in the wrong direction. This wasn’t a military wanna-be…this was a cop wanna be.
